For those who were fortunate enough to know Fred, will remember his larger than life presence, he was funny, cheeky, caring gentleman. Fred was loved by so many, and will truly be missed by all his family and friends. We have set up this page for those who wish to contribute in his memory. It was Fred and Brenda's wish that donations be made to Isabel Hospice. The nurses and staff are very caring and dedicated to what they do, and as a thank you they would like to give a little support back.

Peters family are setting up this page in memory of Peter James Newman. Peter was very loved by his friends, family and local community. He will be remembered for his kindness, infectious smile and the biggest mop of white hair. In Peters final weeks the hospice played a vital role in helping his family make sure Peter was as comfortable as we could make him. In lieu of flowers, if you wish we would like a donation to the hospice to help them provide support to other families in need.

I worked for the Hospice at home team from 2012-2017. The best working years of my life. I loved my job and remember fondly all the patients and their families. Its such a privilege to care for people during such difficult times. I will always hold Isabel close to my heart xx

It was a long illness with heart failure, we moved to Welywn Garden City in 2013. Even then we were on palliative care only. It was not long after we were introduced to May Pheasant and Isabel Hospice. From that day forward we felt safe in the knowledge we were being cared for as a family. I cared for Jerry until his death in 2020 the beginning of Covid epidemic. All along we had wonderful support at a phone call away. Even to a consultant visiting us at home. Thank you for all you did for him.

My wife battled against breast cancer for 10 years so when we were told in 2002 that she had a short time to live we were devastated. We were put in touch with Isabel Hospice and a huge weight was lifted from our shoulders. Their care and professionalism made such a difference to a very difficult time. I was fortunate enough to be able to care for Jean at home for the last few weeks of her life, something that was only possible with the help and support of the staff at Isabel Hospice.
